Stefanie Haining is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work centers on the objects we keep close—souvenirs, keepsakes and functional forms that carry memory, attachment, and emotional weight.
Working primarily in ceramics, she creates sculptural objects that examine how personal and collective histories become embedded in physical form. Her work invites viewers to consider the emotional resonance of everyday objects and the ways we shape—and are shaped by—our possessions.
When not in the studio, Stefanie finds inspiration in the woods of Upstate New York, where she often escapes to with her husband Richard and their dog Bowie.
